Kai has trained scores of guitarists over the past ten years, teaching private students and as a former faculty member of the American Institute of Guitar in New York, and currently on the faculty of Pasadena City College.

He emphasizes the compás (rhythms) and techniques specific to the Flamenco guitar, as well as an understanding of the role of the guitar in accompaniment. He has worked with beginners as well as professional musicians and has led dozens of compás workshops for guitarists and dancers.

He is available for private and group lessons as well as master classes.
